Terms & Conditions
General Terms and Conditions.
Unless otherwise agreed upon by individual contract, the following General Terms and Conditions shall apply. In addition, the General Terms and Conditions of the Austrian Hotel Industry (ÖHVB) in their respectively valid version shall apply supplementarily.
1.Reservation & Contract Conclusion
Reservations are only valid in written form (including email and online booking). Upon conclusion of the reservation, the ÖHVB shall be deemed agreed upon.
2.Deposit
The accommodation contract is concluded upon acceptance of the booking by the hotelier. Electronic declarations are deemed received as soon as the receiving party can retrieve them under ordinary circumstances and receipt occurs within the announced business hours.
The hotelier is entitled to make the conclusion of the contract conditional upon a deposit. In this case, the contracting party will be informed of the deposit requirement before acceptance of the booking. The contract is concluded once the declaration of consent to the deposit is received by the hotelier.
The deposit must be paid no later than 7 days before arrival (received). Transaction costs (e.g. transfer fees) shall be borne by the contracting party. For credit and debit cards, the conditions of the respective card companies apply. The deposit will be credited as a partial payment towards the agreed fee.
3.Prices & Local Tourism Tax
All prices quoted are per room and night in euros, inclusive of the statutory value-added tax. The local tourism tax levied by the municipality of Saalfelden is not included in the prices and will be charged separately. The amount of the local tourism tax is determined by the applicable municipal regulations.
Upon publication of a new price list, all previous price lists become invalid. Price changes, printing errors, mistakes, and changes to offers are reserved.
4.Room Allocation
In the event of multiple bookings for the same room, the earlier booking shall take priority. Specific room numbers or floors cannot be guaranteed.
5.Vouchers
Vouchers are not redeemable for cash. The redemption period is 3 years from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated on the voucher. Only one voucher may be redeemed per stay. Combining multiple vouchers -- including those from third-party providers -- is not permitted.
6.Cancellation & Early Departure
Cancellations are only valid in written form (including email) and will be confirmed by a cancellation confirmation from the hotel. In the event of early departure, the full price for the entire booked stay will be charged.
Cancellation conditions for the flexible rate (summer & winter):
- Up to 7 days before arrival: free of charge
- 6 to 3 days before arrival: 50% of the total price
- From 2 days before arrival: 100% of the total price
Different cancellation conditions may apply for promotional, early-bird, or last-minute rates. These will be communicated separately at the time of booking.
In the event of force majeure or official border or hotel closures, free cancellation is possible at any time. Separate modification and cancellation conditions apply to group, conference, and event bookings, which shall form part of the contract.
7.No-Show
In the event of non-arrival without prior cancellation, the entire stay (100% of the total price) will be charged. The ÖHVB shall apply supplementarily.
8.Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in: from 3:00 PM. For arrivals after 6:00 PM, we kindly ask for prior notification in order to maintain the reservation.
Check-out: by 11:00 AM. A later departure is possible subject to availability and prior arrangement and may incur additional charges.
9.Dogs & Pets
Pets are welcome upon prior registration at the time of booking. The fee is € 20.00 per night including a dog bed. Pets must be house-trained and non-dangerous. Details regarding size, number, and room selection are to be clarified at the time of booking (phone +43 6582 94 100 or info@das-saal.com).
Pets are not permitted to sleep on the beds. Pets are not allowed in the restaurant areas (exception: terrace) or in the wellness area.
Assistance dogs are welcome free of charge and must be indicated at the time of booking.
The guest is liable for any and all damage caused by their animal and is obliged to supervise their pet at all times.
10.Included Services & Hotel Facilities
Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel. Bathrobes and slippers are provided free of charge upon request for the duration of the stay. In summer, a locked bike storage room is available; in winter, a ski storage room is provided. The hotel assumes no liability for items stored therein, unless the damage was caused by intent or gross negligence on the part of the hotelier.
11.Non-Smoking Hotel
All rooms and hotel areas are smoke-free. A designated outdoor area is available for smokers. In the event of a violation, a cleaning fee of € 250.00 may be charged.
12.Liability of the Guest
The guest is liable for any and all damage to hotel furnishings and property caused culpably by themselves or their accompanying persons (including minors). Parents or legal guardians accompanying minors are liable for underage guests. The wellness area may only be used by children under 16 years of age when accompanied by a legal guardian.
13.Liability of the Hotelier
The hotelier is liable for items brought onto the premises in accordance with sections 970 ff ABGB (Austrian Innkeeper's Liability Act). Liability is limited to the statutory maximum amounts, unless the items were expressly entrusted to the hotelier or their employees for safekeeping, or the damage was caused by the hotelier or their employees.
Valuables, cash, and securities may be deposited in the hotel safe. The hotel assumes no liability for vehicles and their contents in the hotel car park, unless the damage was caused by intent or gross negligence.
14.Alternative Accommodation
The hotelier is entitled to provide the guest with adequate alternative accommodation of equal or higher quality, provided this is reasonable and objectively justified -- for example, in the event of the room becoming unusable, extended stays by already accommodated guests, overbooking, or other operational requirements. Any additional costs for the alternative accommodation shall be borne by the hotelier.
15.Data Protection
The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG). 16.Accepted Payment Methods
Cash, debit card, Visa, Mastercard, American Express.
17.Applicable Law & Jurisdiction
Austrian law shall apply. For disputes with consumers within the meaning of the KSchG, the statutory places of jurisdiction shall apply. For disputes with businesses, the competent court at the registered office of the hotelier shall be agreed as the place of jurisdiction.
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
18.Final Provisions
Should any individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the economic purpose of the invalid provision. For all matters not covered by these Terms and Conditions, the ÖHVB in their respectively current version shall apply.
